It is ever happened to you that you are on vacation but you want to escape? Let me better explain, in summer since I was a kid a go to Milano Marittima, a marittime town close to Ravenna in Emilia Romagna. This is a cool small vacation place where my family owns an apartment and we go there since I have memory. Friends, beaches, parties… a lot of fun but sometimes it just get so boring that I feel like moving around.
The must see places around accessibly by car are so many that you have plenty of choices and this time I decided to visit at friend who owns a property in Monte Argentario, the Lagoon Spa and resort, off the coast of Tuscany, now connected to the mainland via three narrow sandbars, this place is quite a special rugged spot for those looking to mingle sea and mountain fun, all in one place.
Nearby there is the Island of Giglio and Giannutri, worth it the trip with the ferry. There a plenty of reasons to fall in love with this place: the food, the sea, the nature. There are two main towns on the peninsula itself, Porto Ercole, a sleepy, yet elegant fishing village that comes alive in the summer months to the buzz of the busier Porto Santo Stefano. Rent a boat or drive around and get lost in this easy to reach gem.
